How to: Fix poor photos
      

Convert colorful image to black and white while leaving part of it in colors
  1. Open the desired photo - (Click on File -> Open menu or Ctrl+O.)
  2. From the Tools (the left) toolbar choose the desired Selection tool.

  3. [Optional] For smooth transition between the black and white parts to the colorful part set a feather value greater then zero, the feather box founds on the Tool Properties (the upper) toolbar. Greater feather value will generate smoother transition.
  4. Using the mouse select the area you wish to leave colorful.
  5. Click on the Selections -> Invert menu (Or Ctrl + I) to invert the selection.
  6. Click on the Adjustments -> GrayScale menu (Or Effects -> Colors -> Black & White Photograph menu for more advanced options) to gray scale the selection.
  7. Click 'Enter' (Or Selections -> Select None menu) to finish and remove the selection lines.
     

    Repair/Remove/Hide tiny imperfections (pimples, moles, scratches and etc.)

  1. Open the desired photo - (Click on File -> Open menu or Ctrl+O.)
  2. From the Tools (the left) toolbar choose the Recovery Brush tool.

  3. Select the area on the picture which is most similar (and preferably the closest) to the area on which the imperfection is located. To select the similar area point on it with the mouse and click on it with the right button.
  4. In order to perform the repair, point on the area where the repair is needed with the mouse. Move the mouse on the area while holding down the left button to perform the repair.
  5. Repeat steps 3-4 as much as need to complete the repair and to remove the imperfections.
